What types of input files are supported?
Our MarkzAPI can accept all PDF files, Adobe InDesign documents created in CS and CC through 2023, QuarkXPress 3 through 2023, and Adobe Illustrator files saved with PDF compatibility.

What file formats can be converted to?
The MarkzAPI can output files as IDML (InDesign Markup Language), PDF, TIFF, PNG, JPEG, and GIF. It can also extract the text content as plain text, styled RTF, and styled HTML.

How long does the conversion process take?
The conversion time will largely depend on the complexity and size of the incoming document. But the vast majority of documents are converted within a few seconds. Complex books with hundreds of pages can take a few minutes.
